  • Tall & Fat

    $199.00

The acclaimed Tall & Fat pedal is the premier accessory  for clonewheel organs. Digital organs do a great job of modeling the tonewheel, but fail to capture the dynamic behavior of the tube based AO-28 preamp. That’s where the Tall & Fat comes in. When added to a digital organ setup, the Tall & Fat provides the compression, second order harmonics, and dynamic drive characteristics of the famous tube preamp. If you’re in need of a strong boost that’s clean and clear, the Tall & Fat is that pedal.

It is a three stage FET preamp with gain staging.. The onset of overdrive is gradual and can be easily controlled with the swell pedal. It adds compression and 2nd order harmonics. With it’s drive and transparency, it works extremely well when overdriven, even with complex chord shapes.

Like all Lounsberry Pedals it sounds and plays more like an amp than a pedal, bringing to mind the tube driven AO-28 preamp. It is the missing link between your digital keyboard and the analog sound you hear in your brain. The Tall & Fat is tuned to easily handle a wide frequency range and sounds awesome with guitar and bass.

Live that moment when you close your eyes and forget you are playing a digital organ!

    ABOUT GAIN STAGING

Discrete preamps provide gain in several stages, so that a lot of what happens to provide the right amounts of drive and compression in a preamp is determined by how many discrete stages are employed, and their levels, determining how the stages interact.

  • Gear Grinder

    $329.00

The Gear Grinder is based on the acclaimed Organ Grinder, only now it is in Stereo! The Organ Grinder was the first Lounsberry Pedal designed for keyboards. Developed with the aid of Roger Powell of Utopia and Meat Loaf fame, it provides a fat, tubelike overdrive for clonewheel organs that can cover the gamut of organ sounds from Greg Rollie, to Jon Lord, Uriah Heep, and even Canterbury sounds.

Like all Lounsberry Pedals it sounds and plays more like an amp than a pedal, bringing to mind the tube power amp section of an overdriven Leslie cabinet. As it easily handles the low notes, the Organ Grinder also sounds awesome with bass guitar. Itt is the ultimate shredding device for the keyboardist who wants to rock.

Operation is the same as the Organ Grinder. When channel one is the only input, the signal is routed to both outputs eliminating need for repatching when going from mono to stereo.

    Lounsberry Pedals Gear Grinder features:

    • Stereo gain staged preamp with Germanium diodes
    • Gradual onset of overdrive. Easily controlled with a swell pedal
    • Adds compression and second order harmonics
    • Transparent drive that works well even with complex chord structures

    From Greg:

“Like all Lounsberry Pedals it sounds and plays more like an amp than a pedal, bringing to mind the tube power amp section of an overdriven Leslie cabinet. As it easily handles the low notes, the Organ Grinder also sounds awesome with bass guitar. It is the ultimate shredding device for the keyboardist who wants to rock..” – Greg Lounsberry, Lounsberry Pedals

  • Mo Bass

    $199.00

A bass guitar pedal for the working man.

The Mo Bass delivers both overdrive and clean big bottom tones with mild natural compression and even order harmonics, and can do both at the same time.
“The “Mo Bass” pedal takes you from digital to analog in the feel and drive. Good clean bottom end with mid overdrive is easily attainable. Very powerful!” – Derek “Mo” Moore, Nektar

    Lounsberry Pedals Mo Bass features:

⦁ Signature bass guitar pedal designed for Derek “Mo” Moore of Nektar.
⦁ The Mo Bass pedal is capable of all the grind, bottom end, and transparent overdrive of the Organ Grinder, only layered with the clean sound of the Tall & Fat.
⦁ Allows for the growly top end favored by rock and prog rock players, while still delivering the round, fat bottom the Tall & Fat is known for.
⦁ The clean, Tall & Fat sound is always present, but as the drive control (Labeled “Mo”) is advanced, the balance is tipped more towards the Organ Grinder overdrive. The “Less” control sets output level.
⦁ The Mo Bass provides an excellent pre-driver to help any bass cut through a dense mix, and enhance the sound of any bass amp.

    From Greg:

“The Mo Bass pedal is capable of all the grind, bottom end, and transparent overdrive of the Organ Grinder, only layered with the clean sound of the Tall & Fat. What this allows for is the growly top end favored by a lot of rock and prog rock players, while still delivering the round, fat bottom end the Tall & Fat is known for. The drive control dynamically balances the clean and overdriven signals. As the drive is lowered, the always-present Tall & Fat sound prevails, and as it is advanced, the overdrive takes over while allowing a tiny bit of the clean sound to shine through, accentuating the bottom end. The Mo Bass provides an excellent pre-driver to help any bass cut through a dense mix, and enhance the sound of any bass amp.” – Greg Lounsberry, Lounsberry Pedals

  • Smilin’ Jack

    $199.00

Smilin’ Jack is a reboot of a classic Lounsberry pedal of the past. As we know, not all fuzz pedals sound alike and the ones that stand the test of time have a unique personality. That’s where our friend Smilin’ Jack comes into play.

With just a little Drive engaged, Jack smiles and growls with the best of them, making it a perfect pedal to add a little bite to your leads. Play full chords with confidence, Jack won’t muddy up the tonal complexities. At least not yet…

Turn the Drive to noon, and Jack gets a lot more aggressive. This is where the sonic sweetness of favorite fuzz pedals from years passed. The chords begin to heat up and melt into sonic bliss.

Crank the Drive to its maximum setting and sonic meltdown is the name of the game. Jack’s fuzzy tones are stunning and ready to find a lead line to decimate.

  • Rupert

    $199.00

The Rupert Bass Overdrive is a fat sounding tubelike preamp and overdrive for Bass Guitar.

After seeing King Crimson in 1974 (one of the songs from that concert was used on their USA album), the massive overdriven bass tone of John Wetton made a lasting impression. There were discussions with a local bass player who was looking for a “knock your head off” bass drive that was fat as well as overdriven. I thought back to John Wetton’s massive tone, and I realized that the Nigel had most of what was required to achieve this.

Although it began life as the Nigel, the Rupert,  with its extended low frequency response became the weapon of choice for that colossal bass tone.

Rupert is a multi stage FET preamp with gain staging and Germanium diodes that sounds and plays a lot more like a bass guitar amp than a pedal. It is a very responsive bass overdrive that can go from warm semi-clean tubelike bass tone to  ’60’s and ‘70’s fuzz driven crunch. It’s a great bass overdrive for just about any genre.

The amazing thing about the Rupert, is that it provides the dynamic touch response of a vintage tube amplifier. It makes a small bass amp sound massive. It’s like a tiny Concert Arena for your bass guitar!
