PETER GALLINARI

"I was totally amazed at what happened when I turned on my 'Organ Grinder' pedal by Lounsberry during one of my keyboard rock solos. It took my keyboards to a place that I haven't heard before. From a rockers standpoint, my organ sounds were heightened with power and classic controlled distortion, bringing my performances over the top. This is not just for the guitarist"

Peter Gallinari
Band/Affliation: Richie Scarlet/Leslie West & Mountain

At age 7, Peter began his musical career playing the keyboards.

Peter utilizes both his rock and blues skills to create his own unique style of phrasing and technique. Due to his limitations of not having the needed space for a piano being raised in Brooklyn, NY apartment’s, he had to settle on electronic synthesizers/organ. Typically you start your keyboard training on the piano but this was not in Peter’s case. Because of this, Peter over extended his right hand capabilities and has been known for his blistering rock riffs and hammering on the keys. His blues phrasing on the Hammond Organ have a strong rock influence which people have enjoyed both in the blues and rock world.

Peter’s recording and performing credits include: Richie Scarlet (Ace Frehley’s Comets, Mountain), Dennis Dunaway (Alice Cooper), Leslie West & Mountain, Carmine Appice (Vanilla Fudge), Anton Fig (David Letterman), Ron ‘Bumblefoot’ Thal (Guns n Roses), John Regan (Peter Frampton, The Stones, David Bowie), Matt Beck (Matchbox20), Larry Hoppen (Orleans), The Sundown Band.

STEVIE WATTS

STEVIE WATTS is an award winning keyboard player (British Blues Awards) and one of the UK's most sought after Hammond players having worked with many bands and artists including Steve Winwood, The Crazy World of Arthur Brown, Mary Coughlan, Jack Bruce, PP Arnold, Archive, Jamie Lawson, Lulu, Roland Gift, Kiki Dee, Mica Paris, Terry Hall, Ronnie Scott's Blues Explosion, Jo Harman and Mylene Farmer. Stevie is also very proud to play Hammond with mod legends Secret Affair and fronts his own Hammond groove outfit the Massive Organ Trio.

The Tall & Fat is the real deal! Absolutely love it! I've been trying to find my sound for many years, something in a small enough package that fits in my flat and car and doesn't brake my back. At last these fabulous pedals have arrived intended for keyboard players and more. The Tall & Fat puts the icing on the cake for me and I wouldn't be without it on an organ gig.
Being into my sixties R&B, soul jazz, blues and funk this thing is the business at producing that old tonewheel Hammond preamp sound. It works beautifully with my my Neo Ventilator and makes the connection between my Crumar Mojo and Leslie 2102 heavenly. It's well made, simple to use, small and light and does what it's meant to do. Perfect! Can't wait to take my Organ Grinder out to my next rock gig!
I'm very proud indeed to endorse these. Thanks Greg for a superb product and great deal.

JAKE LANGLEY

"The organ grinder is a great preamp and overdrive for guitar. I keep it on all the time and adjust the gain settings to suit my taste. at lower gain settings it adds a nice presence to the guitar and at higher gain settings it introduces a very musical breakup and harmonic overdrive as well as a mild tube style compression."

Guitarist Jake Langley is currently a member of the Ronnie Foster trio and performs nightly at the Pallazzo Theater production of "Baz". He also is the guitar professor at UNLV. Jake has performed and recorded with many of todays musical legends including Sheena Easton, Roberta Flack,The Funk Brothers, Willie Nelson, Dixie Chicks, K.D. MITCH TOWNE

is a Grammy-nominated keyboardist and touring musician, and is the "go-to" organist in the Midwest. His ability to move seamlessly between diverse styles has made him a sought-after side-man with artists as varied as jazz and soul artist and Grammy-winning producer Terrace Martin, jazz heavyweights Ryan Kisor, Dave Stryker, Adam Larson, and Marcus Lewis, blues artists Eric Gales and Ben Poole, and Tower of Power drummer Ron E. Beck. In 2015, Towne played organ on the track “Push” for the album “Velvet Portraits” by Terrace Martin, which was nominated for a 2016 Grammy for “Best R&B” album.

Mitch says about the "Tall and Fat" pedal: "I have literally spent thousands of dollars in the past on products that I hoped would warm up my organ sounds and make them sound more like the real thing. The 'Tall and Fat' pedal totally gives my sound the magic warmth, both with a real Leslie and with Leslie simulations. I wish this pedal had been around years ago. It would have saved me a lot of money!"

JIM ALFREDSON

"Finally, someone making pedals for keyboardists! Why should guitarists have all the fun? Lounsberry Pedals are not only beautifully crafted but they fulfill a much needed gap in the serious keyboardists' arsenal; great sounding, full-range overdrive for your digital boards. The Organ Grinder makes your clonewheel growl, removing the digital harshness and replacing it with anything from a warm glow to fried grunge. The Wurli Grinder does the same for electric piano emulations and even sounds great on the real thing! True analog bypass and high-quality components means tone for days and fantastic reliability. Thank you, Greg!"

DAN WALKER

DAN WALKER “On the 'Ann Wilson of Heart’ tour this year, we’re covering a very wide range stylistically, and we're a four-piece band backing Ann up, so I need a lot of versatility out of my organ signal chain. On the heavier material, I am often filling a rhythm guitarist's sonic role with Jon Lord-type organ tones. Then a minute later, I'll need cleaner sounds for ballads and soul/blues/gospel. I just added the Tall & Fat to my signal chain in early June, and it has been the perfect addition (Nord Stage 2 -> Tall & Fat -> Neo Instruments Mini-Vent). The 'Fat' knob allows me to really dial in a aggressive 'preamp' overdrive when I want it, then easily mellow out to showcase the Mini-Vent's more subtle 'power amp' drive while still adding the same kind of natural front-end compression and 'glue' you get from a great tube preamp like an AO-28, or my beloved old Speakeasy. The 'Tall' knob is great for optimizing my level into the Mini-Vent, which has a definite sweet spot in terms of input level that can be difficult to reach with the Nord’s somewhat-quiet output. I can't wait to hear the Tall & Fat with a real Leslie, but with the T&F and the Mini-Vent, even my picky ears tell me I'm 99% there, and I know the crew will thank me for sticking with the sim!”

Dan Walker has been playing keyboards as long as he can remember. He has served as a touring sideman, session musician, and occasionally as co-writer for artists across a wide swath of genres including hard rock, hip-hop, blues, country, jazz, and folk, with artists including Ann Wilson, LeRoy bell, K.C. Clifford, John Fullbright, Aranda, Ian Moore, David Bromberg, Lincoln Barr, Jami Smith, Smokey & the Mirror, Chris Staples, Widower, Matt Alber, and many others. In 2014, Dan fulfilled a childhood dream of appearing as a sideman on The Late Show with David Letterman, appearing with John Fullbright less than a year before Letterman’s retirement. At various one-off special events, and aboard the Cayamo 2015 and 2016 sailings, he's had the pleasure of backing up Jackson Browne, Dave Alvin, Shawn Colvin, Keb’ Mo’, Shawn Mullins, Birds of Chicago, Steve Ripley, Jimmy LaFave, J.D. McPherson, Hanson, Elizabeth Cook, Red Dirt Rangers, Kristi Rose, John Calvin Abney, Andrew Duhon, and more.

JOHN VAN TONGEREN

Using organ clones is great for certain gigs, but trying to get distorted tones out of them is very challenging. Most onboard overdrives sound cold and fizzy. Enter "Organ Grinder". This baby really has a warm, analog style grind to it that allows you to get the medium rock grunge all the way to the John Lord distorted tone. Greg has really built a super pedal for us organists.

JVT helped with R&D for the Tall & Fat pedal, providing testing, and valuable insight setting up gain staging for use with Clonewheel Organs. How about a round of applause.................

FRANK MONTIS

FRANK MONTIS grew up in a music-loving family. Frank was exposed to the sounds, groove and feel of the hammond greats at an early age. After working as a session musician and playing with a piano trio for a couple of years he was asked to record Hammond organ and vocals on a track of the Dutch formation The Jazzinvaders.

For some time Frank had been writing his own poppy/jazzy songs in the background and due to his collaboration with the Jazzinvaders he met saxophone player Rolf Delfos and they started a group called DelMontis in 2010. Before releasing their first album in 2011 Frank started playing with the Dutch group The Soul Snatchers and Laura Vane & The Vipertones with the UK based soul and funk singer Laura Vane, which resulted in a couple of albums with Frank on vintage keys and the organ of course.

In September 2011 ‘Straightforward Fasciation’ by DelMontis was released with Frank’s songs, vocals, keys and a guest appearance of Laura Vane on the title track and early 2014, Frank was asked to join the well-known Dutch group ‘Gare Du Nord’ as co-composer and keyboardist. In the meantime Frank’s fascination with the Hammond organ has grown to a level where feels that he wants to specialize in mainly playing the organ, mixing the groove and feel of the music he grew up with and other influences he was exposed to, throughout his life. At the moment he is working on new DelMontis material and working on a new trio with Dutch guitar giant Anton Goudsmit and drummer Cyril Directie. www.frankmontis.com

PHIL BENNETT

PHIL BENNETT (STARSHIP) says; "I love running the Tall and Fat with just a subtle bit of drive- It adds depth and character to otherwise lifeless organ and keyboard sounds and after a few minutes of use and hitting the bypass switch the difference is profound- well done Lounsberry!"

It reminds me of using my BBE sonic maximizer...When you turn it off you really hear the difference - the Tall and Fat has so much boost man! And damn aside from my 9 volt power supply that original battery has lasted a long time!

Anyway was just thinking about you-The Keyboardist in the band last night that opened up for us in Stuart Florida was using an OG with his hammond/Leslie combo (Thomas Winn and the believers -killer!!!)

"The Lounsberry Tall and Fat Pedal is exactly what my clonewheel rig was missing. I use the Crumar Mojo, usually running through my QSC K12 powered speaker with the onboard Leslie sim, and when I plug in and turn on the T&F Pedal, I really feel like I’ve found that missing sound all digital organs lack. Greg Lounsberry really has made the best pedal out there for organists who don’t always get to use the real Hammond and Leslie rig. Every keyboardist should consider purchasing the T&F and Velcro-ing it next to the power button like I did!"

TOM HUGHES

Ever since I stopped gigging with a real Hammond and Leslie so often, I've been trying to convince myself that my clonewheel is the same as the real deal. Of course it'll never be exactly the same, but both the Tall & Fat and Organ Grinder pedals bring me several very big strides further in the right direction. I can't describe either pedal without using buzzwords like 'analogue' and 'warm', but in this case, those words are absolutely correct. Considering that these are beautifully made boutique pedals that sound this good, and with Greg just an email away, they are an incredible bargain too. Now, instead of making endless adjustments on my organ and thinking "does it sound authentic?", with a couple of Lounsberry pedals, I'm instead thinking "F*ck, this organ sounds great!" I can't rate them highly enough and I'm proud to be an endorser.

ALESSANDRO BERTONI

As a rock keyboardist and session player I have to provide
vast musical versatility in order to shine both on stage and
in the studio.
Therefore, I am always after the ultimate and most
signature sounds for my synths, organ, leads and electric
pianos so I can have my keyboard parts pop up in the mix
and bring my personality to the table.
When Greg Lounsberry introduced me to his hand-crafted
pedals “Nigel" and "Organ Grinder" I was blown away. Not
only do they add a dramatic amount of drive and
distinctive character to the sounds, but they also allow me
to be more creative and come up with dynamic and bold
patches without the humps and buzzes of an ordinary
guitar pedal.
I am looking forward to collaborate with Lounsberry Pedals
and longing to check their upcoming products!

"Ever since I started to play Hammond a few years back I've always been searching for the perfect all-around overdrive/distortion pedal. I must have tried between 20-30 different ones. But it wasn't until I got in contact with Lounsberry pedals and tried the Organ Grinder that I knew my journey was over. The OG has the a very nice analog tone and works both with my Hammond M3 and Nord C2 organ and it is perfect for spicing up the signal before my leslie or ventilator. It handles the full frequency range from the organ without losing or compressing any part of the signal in an unwanted way."

ROGER POWELL

(Utopia, Todd Rundgren, Fossil Poets, Meat Loaf, and David Bowie) Organ Grinder, Nigel

"Nigel arrived yesterday and I'm very impressed. Very warm, organic and sounds like a big amp with wonderful harmonic grind! Very nice job on that. I love the sound. It will stay among my favorite pedals. Cool packaging too!"

RICH WILLIAMS

"I've tried the (Nigel) pedal in a few applications, and where I'm using it now is in my home practice rig. I'm in a condo and must keep things pretty quiet. I have an old tweed Gibson Les Paul Jr. amp which only has a volume control. The unprocessed sound is quite dull and toneless, but when using the Nigel with the guitar volume backed off a bit the amp now has a lively crisp bite and growl that turns practicing into a pleasure.

STEFAN SANDMAN

STEFAN SANDMAN of Time Columns says,
"Glad I found this pedal! I'd been looking for a box that allowed me to have a lighter saturation than my overdrive pedal or fuzz, yet grittier than my bare clean tone. Essentially, something that I can always leave engaged for flavor. Lately, I've also been using a boost before or after my overdrive pedal while recording. The Rupert can fulfill both of these needs in one pedal. Even while disengaged, the pedal leaves a useful tone and active level knob"

"The Nigel is now my favorite distortion pedal. The full throttle distortion is smooth and creamy with plenty of sustain, while the semi clean tones are extremely useful, allowing for complex chord shapes to come right through. I call this my "Joe Walsh" distortion pedal...."
